Thargoids encounter in Hip 16613

During a recent trip of some members of the Diplomatic Corps to the so called Bug Killer site in Hip 16613, cargo racks with high grade raw materials were found and recovered. While scanning the public information of how the ship went down, strange lights and sounds were observed, followed by frame shift fluctuations. It turns out, a Thargoid interceptor of the Cyclops kind was scanning the same information and tried to retrieve a nearby occupied escape pod. The brave members of the Diplomatic Corp managed to salvage the escape pod before the Thargoids could take it away.

The escape pod belongs to Commander Clark Barrow who foolishly was engaging with a Thargoid Cyclops and ended up being shot down and out of power on this barren planet.
