Viscious Attack from Empire Bullies

Here is the official statement from Aetolian Chancellor Steven Patel:

“Aetolians are a young and small faction on the fringes of the bubble. We are an independent agglomeration of interest groups. Our expansion interests are limited to the surrounding systems to establish access for our people to necessary services like shipyards, interstellar factors as well as material traders.

Elite Space Wings, a faction supporting slavery due to their alignment with the empire, has viscously attacked Bullialdus Gateway, our Coriolis Station in Hip 8894 without warning and no declaration of war.  We have been in control of that system for several months. 

We are deeply saddened by the amount of suffering this has brought to the system. Our security forces were ready and have been able to push the aggressors back. When there is war, diplomacy has failed. “

Expansion to Reshero (Week in review)

Chancellor Patel was proud to announce that Aetolians did expand to Reshero. This is a system rather far away from Neginn, the furthest away so far but nonetheless a beautiful system that has a lot to offer for us and our cause.

There was a pirate attack in Gladuwong. It has been subdued and the pirates were chased out of the system in less than a day. 

Wayica has been hit with a virulent disease and is in urgent need of medicine to help end the outbreak. Traders with that propensity are encouraged to deliver basic and advanced medicine to Osterbrock Landing.

CMDR C4LR started off on his way to Sagittarius A with a friend, when his friend's ship broke down and needed repairs. Drive at 18%,  both AFMU at 0%, life support at 18% and shields down. The plan is now: "We're trying to limp him to Colonia cuz it's closer than going home then after we hit Colonia we're going to finish our trip to sag a then probably go back over to colonial and bounce around in there for a while until we can get our engineering done"
We wish the two Aetolians out in the black good luck and godspeed.

The Thargoid Community Goal was renewed again. Seems like they are very tenacious in that system. Aetolians have managed to climb up to third position in the leaderboard but have fallen back to 4th spot when this news article deadline was due. It is quite remarkable though since Aetolians have no tradition of fighting Thargoids and only recently started to appear on the leaderboards at all.

Preparations for big things to come (Week in review)

We won our wars in Hip 6807 and Wayica without too much resistance. Hip 6807 is not under Aetolian control yet but we have heard reports from different sources suggesting that progress is being made to reduce the influence of the empire and make the system more aligned with our independent view points.

Chancellor Patel announced that we are expanding yet again in another system. The target of the expansion has not been disclosed but we hear rumors it is going to be a larger system.

The Thargoid invasion of Hip 21165 was being countered by many CMDRs of the Diplomatic Corps and but we are not out of the woods yet. The Aetolian Ubik has a range of Thargoid Hearts and Meta-Alloys for sale. Any pilots interested in supporting our AX efforts should connect with the Diplomatic Corps and get trained on the specifics. We need any help we can get.

The Thargoids are invading Hip 21165 (Week in review)

A large number of Thargoids in Hip 21165 have put the system in turmoil and Marquis De Ma'a in the Camaye System organized a Community Goal to contain the situation. Thanks for all the Aetolian pilots helping push the Alien threat back. We are not out of the woods yet as the CG was just renewed. Lots of Thargoid Hearts were collected and Thargoid Bobbleheads were acquired though.

Thanks to many good pilots from the Diplomatic Corps (including CMDR Pyrochazm, the Special Envoy for Hip 6807) The invasion into Hip 6807 was successful and our influence is building up. 

Aetolians took control of the Gladuwong system and are now in control of 18 systems and over 45 stations. Ambassador Enzeydad released a statement praising all the pilots involved in taking control of the system and managing the delicate diplomatic situation very well.  The names of the pilots were redacted to protect the integrity of the Diplomatic Corps.

The Diplomatic Corps made another trip in the Aetolian Claw to visit a Guardian Weapons Site to bring home blueprints and materials to obtain more AX weapons in Mbooni. These trips are a important to keep on track to support the war against the Thargoids.

One of our neighbouring systems, Kites is in civil unrest due to heavy incursion of Pirates. The controlling faction is asking for help to subdue them and bring order back to their system. There are pockets of pirate activity with threat level 7, a great opportunity for bounty hunting.
